Questions and answers
The things students ask most about FMPR. If your question isn't here, send feedback or email fmprevision@gmail.com .
Getting started
Which courses does FMPR cover?
A level Further Mathematics, Mathematics and Physics, for both AQA and Pearson Edexcel: six specifications in all. See every topic.
How do I find out which exam board I'm on?
It's printed on your exam timetable and your exam entry. If you're not sure, ask your teacher. You can change it at any time in My course.
What do Y12 and Y13 mean?
Y12 content is also in the AS specification and is usually taught in Year 12. Y13 content is in the full A level only. Choose your year in My course and FMPR shows the right content first.
Lessons, questions and the Journal
How do the lessons work?
Each lesson covers one sub-topic. It sets out what you will learn, shows where the result comes from, works through an example, then gives you a question to try. After five seconds the answer is worked out for you, and the lesson ends with a summary. New words are explained on screen. Go to Lessons.
Are the practice questions from real exams?
No. They are written by FMPR in the style of the real papers, with full working and the marks each step earns. For past papers, go to AQA or Pearson Edexcel.
What is the Journal?
The Journal lists the lessons you have watched, so you can carry on where you stopped. It also lets you rate every sub-topic as Not yet, Developing, Secure or Strong, and shows an average for each topic, so you can see where to focus.
Your account and data
Do I need an account?
Topic lists and practice questions are open to everyone, with no account needed. Lessons and the Journal need an account, so your progress is always saved: the lessons you have watched, where you stopped and your confidence ratings, on every device you sign in on. Create an account.
How do I delete my account?
Go to Your account, choose Delete account, then click again to confirm. Your account and everything saved in it are deleted straight away.
Does FMPR use cookies?
Only one, to keep you signed in. If you allow it, FMPR also counts page visits, without cookies and without identifying you. You can change your choice at any time from Cookie settings at the bottom of every page. Read the privacy policy for details.
